About

Hi there! Olena on the line.
Welcome to my blog!

By day, I’m a Senior QA Generalist juggling manual testing and automation. By night, I’m a master’s student in Computer Science.

I started this blog to share stories from the trenches: tips, tricks and life hacks, wins and epic fails, mentoring experiences from both sides of the table, plus reviews of books, articles, talks and other good stuff. I’ll tell you what it’s really like to be a student again at 30, diving into computer science after a purely humanities background. I won’t just share what engineers should know. I’ll also show how and where that knowledge actually comes in handy. And of course, this blog can’t do without the hottest topics of the moment: artificial intelligence, testing AI, and testing with AI. But I promise you this: no generated content here. Only real, living texts, the honest result of a very human thought process.

If anything I write strikes a chord with you and helps you see your own career path a little more clearly, I’ll be over the moon. Don’t be shy! Drop me a line in the comments or by email.

One small but important thing before we start: the views and opinions expressed on this blog are my own and do not represent those of my employer, my university, or any other organization I’m affiliated with.

Okay, I think we’re all set. Let’s go!
